PensionDanmark won "Best European Pension Fund" at the annual conference for the European pension funds, the IPE Awards 2014, which took place in Vienna Thursday evening. This marks the second win in this category, as PensionDanmark also received the award in 2012.
"We are incredibly proud to receive the award for the Best European Pension Fund for the second time in three years. This is an acknowledgement of our investment teams' ability to ensure attractive and stable returns over a period of years," says CEO Torben Möger Pedersen, PensionDanmark.
"Yet, the award only carries value, if our members are satisfied. A recent study has shown that PensionDanmark has the most satisfied customers among pension funds in Denmark, and that is why this award has even more significance," says Torben Möger Pedersen.
The same evening, PensionDanmark was also named Best Infrastructure Investor.
The European pension funds gather annually for the IPE Awards, which are the largest awards of its kind in Europe. There were participants from all over Europe, as the awards are presented in national and European categories alike.
