PensionDanmark awarded as European Pension Fund of the Year – for the third time in five years

PensionDanmark was Tuesday night awarded as European Pension Fund of the Year and was also awarded for Innovation at a large investor conference in Prague.

PensionDanmark won the two awards for its innovative use of technology in several areas, such as robotics and for being at the forefront of investing in sustainable infrastructure. The event took place at the annual conference for pension funds and other institutional investors “IPE Conference & Awards” held in in the Czech Republic capital Prague on Thuesday night. It is the third time PensionDanmark is awarded European Pension Fund of the Year (2012, 2014 and 2017) – the only pension fund in Europe to have ever received the honor three times.

”We see the awards as yet another international recognition of our persistent focus on securing the best possible pension scheme for our members. High yields and low costs require continued innovation. The awards are not least a recognizion of our extensive focus on digitalization and robotics. The awards are an additional motivation for us to continue the work,” says PensionDanmark CEO Torben Möger Pedersen.

The annual IPE (Investment & Pensions Europe) Conference and Awards is the largest of its kind in Europe and brings together institutional investors from all over Eu-rope. This year “bar-raising achievements” were acknowledged through nominations and awards in more than 40 categories.

During the past five years PensionDanmark has received IPE awards as European Pension Fund of the Year (2012, 2014 and 2017), Best Infrastucture Investor (2014 and 2015), Best Infrastructure Strategy (2014 and 2015), Best Sustainability Strategy (2014), Best Real Estate (2013), Nordic Real Estate Investor of the Year (2017) and for Innovation (2017).
