Last night PensionDanmark received the award Pension Fund Innovation Award, at the conference European Pension Fund Awards 2019.
PensionDanmark was awarded in recognition of its highly necessary innovation in finding new and robust investment opportunities.
“We are very proud of receiving this award. I see it as a recognition of PensionDanmark’s ability to deliver good investment returns in a low interest rate environment through substantial innovation,” says Torben Möger Pedersen, CEO of PensionDanmark.
The examples of innovation in investments are many.
Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) was co-founded by PensionDanmark seven years ago and since then CIP has served as very successful investor within renewable energy.
In March 2017, PensionDanmark entered into a new partnership in the maritime field by investing in the new Maritime Investment Fund with the purpose of building a diversified portfolio of maritime assets.
And in June 2018, PensionDanmark invested in the new Danish SDG Investment Fund, which will contribute to meet the goals in developing countries, promote Danish know-how and technology and at the same time contribute to realize the UN Sustainable Development Goals in 2030.
