PensionDanmark is Europe’s best pension fund. That is the overwhelming verdict of the European IPE Awards jury, which earlier today presented Denmark’s biggest labour market pension fund with one of the top prizes, European Pension Fund of the Year, at its annual awards ceremony.
”We’re extremely proud to receive this award in recognition of our efforts to generate solid returns for our members in a sustainable manner. It encourages us to continue our work and to aim higher going forward,” says Torben Möger Pedersen, PensionDanmark’s CEO.
The achievements that won PensionDanmark the award include its sound investment strategy, strong ESG-credentials and PensionDanmark’s ability to consistently come up with market leading and outstanding innovation in different aspects of asset allocation.
”We’re delighted to receive such high praise, and it’s an extra motivation to be commended for the measures that constitute the cornerstones of the way we run our pension fund. Healthy investment, responsibility, sustainability and innovation are at the core of PensionDanmark’s approach,” says Torben Möger Pedersen.
In addition to one of the top awards, PensionDanmark won the Real Assets & Infrastructure category and was named Danish Pension Fund of the Year for the third consecutive year at the IPE Awards, which were held as a digital conference over the past three days.
PensionDanmark won the Real Assets & Infrastructure prize in recognition of a successful strategy and a diverse investment portfolio with a focus on long-term impact.
The jury motivated the Danish country award with the conclusion that PensionDanmark continues to be a frontrunner within direct investments in infrastructure, lending and real estate.
With these three awards, PensionDanmark has now won a total of 11 prizes at the IPE Awards since 2017, including European Pension Fund of the Year in 2012, 2014, 2017 and 2018.
