The largest Danish labour market pension fund was among the winners, as IPE Real Assets & Infrastructure Global Investor Awards 2021 on Tuesday paid tribute to notable accomplishments within direct investments such as real estate and infrastructure in the international pension industry.
PensionDanmark was awarded in the category ”Direct Strategy” which is given for accomplishments within real estate investments.
”We work hard every day to manage our members’ pension savings best possible and at the same time make a positive difference for the society and the environment, the members live in. It is therefore encouraging when our efforts are positively recognised,” says Torben Möger Pedersen, CEO of PensionDanmark.
The comments from the judges motivating the award highlights “a market leading offering”, while calling PensionDanmark “one of the pioneers of direct real assets investing by pension schemes in Europe”.
”In the real estate area, our skilled real estate team have gone new ways by focusing on developing our own projects and on public private partnerships combined with an active effort within energy efficiency and recycled materials. We are proud, that this effort has been awarded internationally,” says Torben Möger Pedersen.
IPE Real Assets & Infrastructure Global Investor Awards is a new award launched virtually in connection with the conference IPE Real Assets & Infrastructure Global Investor.
