On Tuesday evening, the European pension industry gathered for the annual IPE European Pension Fund Awards in Prague. The evening brought a total of three awards to PensionDanmark, which was declared the winner in the categories for Emerging Markets, Sustainable Bonds and Credit, and Best Multi-Employer/Professional Pension Fund.
The jury emphasized PensionDanmark's long-term efforts to optimize both returns and sustainability aspects in its investments. Particularly highlighted were PensionDanmark's portfolios of Emerging Markets bonds and sustainable bonds.
"It is a great honor to be recognized for our work with Emerging Market bonds and sustainable credit. These are two important focus areas for our skilled investment staff, and investments that we have put a lot of effort and thought into over many years. At the same time, these are also areas where our patient and meticulous investment processes have continuously resulted in significant additional returns to the benefit of our members," says Erik Bennike, head of equities and credit.
